Twinkeling Stars was opened in 2012. Run like a preschool, we believe in hands-on learning, weekly themes, and engaging children's brains during the most precious years of early childhood!

Things that make Twinkeling Stars unique:

  1. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UW-Oshkosh. I am passionate about children’s development, and continuously educate myself on the newest research.

  2. I have a Facebook page that is private to parents. I update DAILY with pictures of your child, our classroom, fun things we’re doing, etc.

  3. We often have “fun days”: holiday parties, birthday parties, SILLY week, etc.

  4. I create my curriculum with the CHILDREN in mind. I write weekly goals for the children off of my assessments, then looking at the goals, I come up with activities that will help them reach their goals.

  5. I run a “Family Night” every few months. These are days/nights when we get together as families (parents, siblings, children enrolled) and do something together as a group. These group activities help strengthen the relationships of the children as well as the parents with the other parents. This is a small in-home preschool/childcare, and I take pride in the close-knit feel we have. Examples of these family adventures are: Monkey Joes, horse-back riding at a stable, playing at a park, taking a hike at heckrodt, etc.

  6. I hold parent-teacher conferences once a year (or more if parents request it).

  7. I have “book-bags” for parents to check-out. In these book bags are books, activities, songs, finger plays, etc. for you to do at home with your child. It helps extend their learning at home!

  8. I will update FaceBook with community activities that are going on that your child may be interested in. I believe children should have LOTS of experiences.

  9. I host a “Parent’s Night” a few times a year. These are on Friday evening from 5:30-9:00. You can drop your child off for $10, and go out on a date. We watch movies, have dance parties, eat popcorn, and have a great time. This is VERY popular; the children and parents both LOVE this. I use the money from Parent’s Night to fund changes/additions of toys in our environment.

  10. I’m currently accredited through the National Association for Family Child Care. Only the “best of the best” family child care centers are accredited. This shows my dedication to quality and exceptional care.

  11. We take weekly field trips! This allows the children to have hands on experiences that apply to the themes we’re learning about. Field trips allow children to learn using their whole body and get to know the community.

  12. I am a certified Eco-Healthy Childcare! This demonstrates my commitment to maintaining a healthy home for the children and the environment! I strive to use the least toxic materials and cleaners and am intentional about purchases I make for the childcare!

  13. I am a certified Breast Feeding Friendly Childcare. I have positive breastfeeding policies, and encourage mothers to nurse or pump on-site!
